Insurance RepairsAs the insurance paying customer you are entitled to choose your Vehicle body repairer!
Depending on who your insurer is underwritten by your insurance claims handler may try to refer you to use their own recommended repairer but you can have your car repaired at any Bodyshop of your choice even if the garage is not on their list of repairers.
The reason the insurer wants you to use their nominated repairer is that the insurance company try to keep the repair costs to a absolute minimum and in return their nominated Bodyshop gets a high volume of referred work sent to them by the insurance company. This being the case the bodyshop needs to repair your vehicle as quick and cheap as possible to retain profit on the repairs to your vehicle.
The insurer will try to put you off using any other repairer than their own for the only reason to them saving money on your repairs. They may try to tell you that the work can not be guaranteed if you do not use their repairer, you will not be supplied a courtesy vehicle or they may even try to tell you that your insurance excess will be higher than usual if you use us
We guarantee all insurance repairs for 3 years. We will supply you with a FREE courtesy vehicle. If the insurer tells you that your excess will be higher please call us as we can usually negotiate with the insurer.
Even if we are not on your own insurance company’s list of vehicle body repairers, you are legally entitled to choose Evans Autobody Ltd of Flookburgh.
All you need to do is nominate us when you call the claims line of your insurance company. This is your legal right and you cannot be refused under any circumstances. If in doubt, refer to the Association of British Insurers’ Code of Conduct.
If for any reason the insurance claims handler is being awkward and making you feel uncomfortable please call us and we will call them on your behalf to resolve any problems they may have.
At the time of repairs when your car is in our bodyshop you will be supplied with a courtesy car FREE OF CHARGE until your vehicle repairs are completed.
